Out of Patriotism

Today marks another history for the Filipino people. Shall it be another six years of being in the same wretched spot or shall it commence great milestones and put Philippines back to where it was decades ago.
Change is about to happen if everyone is ready for it. Funny how us Filipinos demand of great change and yet we never have tried being agents of change!
I remember the Conference that I attended few years back in my teaching career in BSU regarding changes. We people tend to look at everyone to explain the problem when experiencing relational adversities. We must begin to examine ourselves and should be willing to correct whatever deficiency we have in order for change to materialize.
“When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older, and wiser, I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights somewhat and decided to change only my country. But it, too, seemed immovable. As I grew into my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me, but alas, they would have none of it. And now, as I lie on my deathbed, I suddenly realize: If I had only changed myself first, then by example I would have changed my family. From their inspiration and encouragement, I would then have been able to better my country, and who knows, I may have even changed the world.” - Anonymous
I’m not yet in my deathbed, however I still see change is within our reach if we carry it out today.

May God Bless Philippines and I’m looking forward for my homeland to Better Changes! Bring ‘em on!
